Default Energy more than 51 ? HOW TO ?

Hi I have a Necro and a Monk, and i have the full scar drok armor etc with Staff +10 and another one +15 energy etc but 'm still at 51... How I can get more than 51 ? I know that the Elemental can reach 80 and more with energy storage but, does we can reach more when we are a Necro or a Monk ?

Thank a lot

With full scar and +15 staff you should have 52 max I believe.
With a +5 wand and max focus, 54.
With a +12+15/-1 focus, 69 (3 regen)
With a +15/-1 wand and +12+!5/-1 focus, 79 (2 regen)

Considering soul reaping and the hex-chain basis of curse builds, I prefer 3 regen with 60+ energy. For MM, max regen with 50~ max energy is better.

if you don't want degen you can use those:
- +5 energy wand & a max focus (both collector) = +17 energy
- +13 energy staff when health > 80% (quest reward) = +18 with insightful mod

Max energy for a necro without any degeneration should be +54 using full scars armor, a +5 > 50 truncheon (or +5 Nolani wand) and +12 energy focus. If you go with full scars, +27/-1 focus, and +15/-1 truncheon, then total energy is +79 at 2 PiPs recharge rate.

EDIT: here's how a +15/-1 energy wand looks...

Personally, I like to have 20/20 staff on switch, then have a 20% death recharge wand and a +12 +15/-1 health +30 (collector) Soul Reaping focus. This helps when I'm in B/P teams, when multiple foes die simultaneously. I did this after seeing a ton of purple "+10' 's fly over my head, failing to augment my already full energy pool. With SR, your energy is kept quite high in combat (assuming your team knows what it's doing), so make sure you have a high enough energy cap to gain its full effect. It also helps to have that extra energy when you're trying to spam 25 energy summon spells... ^_^ The +30 health mod, comparable to a perfect Staff Wrapping of Fortitude (the +energy would have to be on the head), is a nice feature of this offhand as well.

Like I said, though, I keep the 20/20 death staff on swtich so you can regen faster OUTSIDE of combat. The +15/-1 blood wand posted above appears to be a drop, as it is gold in color, though collectors offer similar items for much less than what that wand is worth ^_^

My two cents.

This gives me 79 energy with full scars. Granted, it's only useful as a 2nd or 3rd weapon set.

I'd rather have more energy regen than higher max energy any day.

If you have high soul reaping, it might be useful to have a larger energy pool at the cost of energy regen. but i'd keep another +4 regen set at all times :P

the #1 reason for keeping items with +15/-1 is when you are confronted with e-denial mesmers; it allows you a temporary solution to mass energy loss.

even with only 2 energy regen...a high soul reaping level compensates for this.
